I just wanted to update and say that Kisa came home on Sunday. Very weak. She lost every speck on fat on her. I don't know how much longer she had wherever she was. We think she got trapped somewhere.
Anyway, I couldn't be happier. The end.

On my way home from St Augustine.
One guess why I'm posting this.
The reason I'm posting this today is because I want to stress to every single one of you and everyone you know how important it is to drive safely. I understand that driving the speed limit on the highway is slow, but please, for the sake of yourself and everyone you share the road with, keep it below 85.
Kevin and I were driving home from St Augustine tonight. We were on I4, cruising along when a black Scion xC blew past us, going well above 90mph. We mutterred our, "Fucking prick"s and kept going.
Kept going until we reached a very dark patch of road and noticed a car pulling over and another slamming on the brakes. Before we knew it, there was glass, and then there was a body lying horizontally in our lane. At that point, we had no option.
We, for lack of a better word, ramped over this man's body. We pulled over, and watched as many other people swerved out of the way (or not) and I called 911. I was the first to call.
As the man had done to us, he tried to closely pass a white Toyota (the road was empty, why he cut it so close is a mystery to me) and clipped the rear fender. At the speed he was traveling, this contact sent him flying out of control and into the middle median, which subsequently caused his vehicle to roll, thereby somehow ejecting him from the vehicle.
Enter us, less than a minute later. The accident happened at 8, we were kept, questioned by the police, sitting in our bloody, damaged car until 11pm. All the while staring at the lump in the middle of the road that was once a man.
PLEASE. SLOW DOWN. YOU ARE NOT INVINCIBLE AND THAT MAN COULD VERY WELL BE YOU.
The car he hit had 6 young kids in it. He could have taken them out with him and they are so incredibly lucky to have gotten away from it unscathed.
Not to mention I will carry with me the image of that man before my vehicle was launched off of him for the rest of my life. Every bump in the road, every time I smell the grass that was around him. I do not want that man to be any of you.
This accident was 100% preventable, if only he had driven more responsibly.
He was 28.
Please, please, please take your driving more seriously. We were lucky that only the man who caused the accident was killed, and that no innocent drivers (or passengers) were dragged to the grave along with him.
